Sleep under the stars
Our Story
More than a place to pitch a tent — two base camps in the Kumaon hills, run by locals who grew up on these trails. Built on the outdoors, on big mountain skies and the slow, honest rhythm of camp life, where every guest arrives as one of our own.

Overview
Two base camps, endless Himalaya to explore
Simra Izar is an adventure campsite in the Kumaon Himalaya — tents in the pines, bonfires under the stars, and the wild right at your door. It's camping the way it should be: simple, outdoors and a little untamed.
We run from two base camps. Kunja sits in deodar forest near Jageshwar, an easy, gentle base for first-timers and families. Jhandi Top is higher and wilder, with sweeping ridge views and tougher trails — the launch point for our longer treks.

Generation over generation
One home, one terrace, four generations
Kunja isn't a property we acquired — it's a home that's been handed down. Each generation has sat in the same chair on the same terrace, looking out at the same hills. This is the lineage that keeps the place alive.

Landmark
In the lap of nature, near Jageshwar Dham
Located near the revered Jageshwar Dham in Almora, surrounded by jungles of cedar, pine, oak and rhododendron. Slightly offbeat, in the heart of Kunja village — ideal for an offroading bike or car experience.
